Nestled in the Kigezi Mountains is the picturesque Kingha Coffee Estate. Back in 2015, Kingsley Griffin traded Dubai’s sand dunes and high rises for education and adventure. Three years on and the estate produces some of the highest quality coffee in Uganda. One of the founding principles of Kingha Coffee is a true commitment to creating sustainable development and long-term social impact; they hire local people, pay them a fair waged help provide them with personal development opportunities. Two times a month, students from Bugiri Primary School come to the estate to study coffee growing and agricultural skills.
After being fortunate enough to visit the Kingha estate, a partnership seemed inevitable. We were hosted by Idah Ngabirano, the estate caretaker and it seems only fitting that this coffee carries her name.
